EMPOWERMENT

NEWS

We are happy to announce that our inaugural Community Leadership Workshop will begin on June 29th at 6pm. There are 8 weekly sessions on Wednesday’s.


This will be a small group of 12 individuals and the 8 sessions will be covering topics such as leadership, communication, Compton basics, building partnerships and more. The workshops will be held at the Yetunde Price Resource Center in Compton.


The goal? To continue to build leadership and encourage unity and collaboration in Compton. This is a chance to be a part of the change. 

If you are someone who is interested in getting more involved in your community, starting a block club or a coalition, this is the course for you. Community Meetings


Compton Advocates currently holds monthly community roundtables with the goal of educating and activating community members.  In these forums we discuss current events, issues that require our attention and potential solutions. This is done in a neutral, non-partisan environment, we do not allow campaigning or endorsing at any of our events..  All are welcome.
