Rashunda Rene is the CEO of Innovative Entrepreneurs Hub. She has a connection to the City of Compton, having attended Emerson Elementary and Optimal Christian Academy before her mother moved the family outside of the city. Although she moved out of the city in her teen years, she still considers Compton where she grew up.
Upon graduating from high school, she attended Cal State Long Beach where she received her Bachelor's Degree. As a professional she is a business mentor, social entrepreneur and investor.
Rashunda worked in corporate america for more than 15 years before officially starting her own company Innovative Entrepreneurs Hub where she provides cost-effective workspace, business development services, and various business solutions for small businesses and entrepreneurs. She is also the Director of Startup Grind South LA, Founder of the nonprofit, C.U.S.P. (Committed to Uplifting Single Parents) and Co-Founder of Blue Lotus Box, a women’s empowerment bi-monthly subscription box.
When Rashunda is not working she likes to spend time with friends and family, traveling, and relaxing listening to music and writing.
Roberto Rodriguez is a 8th year social science teacher for YouthBuild Charter School of California. He was born and raised in Watts and has been working since high school on empowering the community through civic engagement.
He is a first generation college student. He attended the University of California Riverside and graduated with B.As' in History and Ethnic Studies. He returned to his community to become a program coordinator for WLCAC. This experience influenced Roberto to pursue his Masters in Urban Education and credential in secondary education from UCLA. His passion for education is to engage young people in transforming their community through action. He strives to empower his young people to be critical of issues in their community but work to find collective solutions to improve the conditions of where they live.
Roberto completed his Masters in Education with an emphasis in Educational Leadership from Cal State Dominguez Hills. He currently lives in Compton with his partner, Maira, daughter, Maite, mother-in-law, Zenaida, and dogs, Estrella and Sky.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dion is passionate about working with the community to organize educational and urban economic opportunities.
Dion has his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Dion has worked in the financial industry for more than twenty years with a specialization in banking, financial planning, investment management, risk analysis and Digital systems training. He is an accomplished Trainer/Entrepreneur with high-energy and critical thinking abilities in designing, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide education functions. As an entrepreneur, his e-Learning business specializes in training, coaching, communication, leadership, and technology development. His hobbies include being an active member and mentor with Toastmasters International. to change it.
